A big reason I chose the dv was because the notebook seems pretty quiet. I wanted a notebook with a widescreen and BriteView glossy screen that was quiet and light and could do basic tasks like browse the internet, use Adobe Photoshop, do some work in Flash and use Microsoft Word.
